Drew looked at his friends one more time, just to see their happy faces a little longer. He knew that after this, there would be more.
They would see him differently, even if they didn't do that for long. As if he was hunting for inspiration, he looked at his mate, before deciding to continue, his voice almost trembling, but these were his people.
"I may have gone to him when I ran off the house two nights ago. He told me he would come check on me in two days, which is weird, considering he's a human and I'm a chief werewolf warrior—" Drew said but Enrique interrupted him, making Drew let out a sigh.
Well, he was right to hope for peace, but now wasn't really the time.
"You were with THE human?" Enrique asked, looking at Drew like there was another head on the warrior. Oh the audacity Drew had to not tell them the truth. Well, at least he had expected this, so he would just deal with it in the ways he knew how.
