Nikita was smiling as he read the letter. His Arya had wanted him to see her for who she was, not a supposed extraordinary person who everyone bowed for, and that was the best takeaway for all this. Sure, he was still mad at her, but she let herself be vulnerable.
Letting out a sigh of relief, he continued reading.
"My name is Arya Micaella Knight, and this isn't a confession, ugh. Okay, one last time. I shouldn't have spelled the thing beforehand. And I hope you're not laughing at my suffering. If this shit insists, I'm not continuing thi— well I have to because I left but fuck. Okay, here goes nothing," Nikita let out a hearty laugh.
Even though he had been asleep for several days, it felt good to know that she was trying to cheer him up intentionally. Even the anxiety he had had earlier was long gone.
However, he knew this was the last bit of the jokes Arya was telling in her letter, and he prepared himself psychologically for the next bit.
