He hadn't left the military for Nikita, just to see his best friend hurt all over again. He hadn't gone through shit just to see him like this. Qiao hadn't broken all protocols and possibly committed treason for Nikita's happiness, just to see Arya throw him out like he was disposable.
His friend wasn't disposable and he would show Arya that.
Drew paused to look at his mate, growling at his alpha. He face-palmed at first, thinking that Qiao Xi was acting out of impulse, but it wasn't anymore. The raw pain his mate was feeling, he could feel it too.
He hadn't approved of what Arya had done, but that didn't mean he would sit and watch his alpha tear down his mate.
