Crawling out of her bed Shawney thought, "Why did this day have to come? They had all blamed me, saying because I put them out he had gotten sick and died of grief. I already feel guilty, I don't need them to keep reminding me.

At the funeral just a few people was asked to say a few words, one was Shawney lawyer.

Hearing how the family keep grumbling and complaining when he was called, but the Minister said.

"My Brother Ken Wayman came to me two months ago and made out his program for his funeral.

Maybe he knew he was dying and conceal that from the family. I am just here fulfilling his last wishes."

When Shawney lawyer stands at the front, and takes the mike his words were. "To all who know Ken they might think that he is a fool and knows nothing about business.

But Ken Wayman was a very versatile and brilliant person. He loved fairness and equality, you might even think he lived in a rundown house, but he did that to try and help his family to understand.

He wanted me to let every one that is here to know, that the decision Shawney Wayman made was the right one."

Signaling her to come forward, then said, "Shawney, your Uncle last words to me after you leave him at the hospital was, he was very proud of you.

Shawney, he wanted you to know he tried to instill good values into the lives of the family members, but it was of no avail.

He also asked me to give you this document, wanting the village people to be a witness to your claim of all his properties and business, instructing you to do what you will with it.

Only one thing he asked child, and that is if they continue to be selfish, and ridicule you that nothing should go to them."

Then he said looking at Ken's family, "To Ken's family, he wanted me to say this, so everyone will hear, To his wife, his son Julien, and to his daughter Shantel.

He wanted me to let you know, that has left sufficient for you all to live for a year but not at a lavish lifestyle."

Julien snapped, "Did dad had to have the lawyer say these things public?"

"I told you many times he was a fool," Joan replies to Julien's remarks.

When Shantel whispers," A fool that has business and property mom? He left you money to live for a year."

"He doesn't have anything, all his pension I used to collect it, and he had us living in this rundown apartment. That lawyer is more foolish than your father."

After the service, every family member was given a letter including Shawney nephews and nieces. We were to gather at KEN'S Restaurant in the town for five pm.

Shawney had returned home after the funeral and bathe and change. Feeling, this tiredness, for the past week, running to and foe from the hospital, and attending to the business.

Taking a taxi in town, curious to know what Uncle Ken had in mind. If I had a choice I won't be attending, but the letter said if I am not there the reading of the will, will be rescheduled to a day available.

With Torren and the children coming, I might as well get this over and done with, seeing that they treat me as though I am contagious.

Recalling Uncle Ken last few words to her before she leave him at the hospital.

He said, 'It was him that instructed dad to don't leave the others anything in his will.

Then I leave him alone with Uncle Thomas. He was right, they always wanting and complaining about everything.

Nothing I do for them, seems to be good enough or sufficient. He used to say they will never change and it is like those words are a curse to them.'

"God, I pray they will see the light, that change will take place, I don't know what to do for them anymore?"

Just as Shawney thought as she sit at the restaurant, even her own brothers and sisters, stayed away from her as though she was contagious with some kind of dangerous plague.

'Well I don't care, I will return with Torren and they could remain with their attitude and behavior.'

When Uncle Thomas came, the Manager of the Restaurant came and ask us to follow him.

Seeing a table set in a private area, and waiters were ready to serve us. Uncle Thomas asked them to serve everyone their dinner then to leave.

Wanting to know why? From what Shawney guess, it sounds serious, but from what was said at the funeral, it seems as though he has some money stashed away.'
