Aila's face turned pale, she observed them intently, but they were only two of them. The fiancé's parent noticed her facial expression as if she was looking for someone else.
"Oh, sorry princess our son is not with us right now. The king is adamant in his orders, you are only supposed to meet on the day of your official engagement or the whole talks of marriage will be off. Anyway, the marriage is still far fetched so we want both of you to be free from pressure."
Aila finally understands the terms set out by the king; and the thought of it made her truly happy. She is not supposed to meet him for the next three years. That is more than enough time to change the king's decision once again regarding this marriage. But for now, she will accept it for what it is just to appease the king.
