SOPHIA'S POV:
After everything that I went through all the years of pain and suffering, it doesn't compare too this moment. I thought everything was going to be happy, it started off that way, I was accepting this newly discovered side of me and all the traditions that I have to do to accept this part of me. My eyes are slowly closing and I feel warm all around me with my heart rate slowing down by the second. Fighting this is difficult and looking into coco's eyes I whisper a slight apology before closing them completely. I keep replaying all of the events that led up to this moment and wonder if I should've done things differently.
ALARM CLOCK GOES OFF;
I wake up and feel around the side table wanting the screeching sound to end. After turning it off I realize that no one else is here. All of the guys have left and we're right back to reality within in instant. Sitting up I found a note with all of their signatures on it and read it at an unhuman like pace. " To our beautiful Sophia, as much as we all wanted to stay with you we must prepare our territories for your arrival . We are aware that the introduction ceremonies have been pushed upon you and have decided to give you space to figure things out. If you need or miss us call and we will answer and help you with any questions you might have. Ps we won't pressure you into making these decisions." Butterflies start to fill up my stomach, the guys had to leave and get everything ready but won't go through with it if I don't want to.
These traditions are important to them and I should respect that by going through with it. I grab a pair of Connor's sweatpants and a t-shirt before jumping in the shower. I don't know what it is but wearing his scent is intoxicating to me, and his clothes are really comfortable. Sitting in the hot water I start to think about everything, I haven't heard from my wolf since the whole mating explanation but she finally decides to speak up about the situation. " I think that we should mate with Connor first, he is the sweetest and knows more about us than the others. he would definitely make sure you were comfortable with everything." I roll my eyes at her comment " so you couldn't say anything when we were talking to the guys or even during our heat but now you wanna talk about who I should give my virginity to? Are you nuts Athena? " The running she was doing in my head stops " you know that i'm right you just don't want to admit it. It's nothing to be ashamed of they are your mates, the people you will spend the rest of your life with and eventually start a family."
Pushing her into the back of my head I zone out sitting inside of the shower while holding my legs together and my head placed on top. Just as I was about to fall asleep I hear a knock at the door startling me. Jumping out of the shower while yelling one minute I get dressed as fast as I can. I open the door with water still dripping out of my hair only to come face to face with Connor's black eyes and rigid stance. He gently pushes me onto the wall closing the door in the process. " Why do you smell like that?" I look at him confused and can see him fighting with himself. " I don't understand what your talking about?" He gently grabs my hair pulling it back and places his head in the opening of my neck. I close my eyes waiting for his next move while water droplets fall from my hair and slide down my neck. His breathing becomes rigid causing mine to increase, but we don't say a word, it's quiet enough to hear everything going on outside of the bedroom door. Before I can get a word out he's gone and Athena starts to howl in my head. "What just happened? What did he mean by why do I smell like that?" Athena starts pacing in my head while continuing to howl.
Suddenly feeling tired all over again I lay down in the bed smelling sweet flowers when I close my eyes. " Hi my sweet child." I sit down waiting for yet another one of her lectures " so do you have any ideas as to what just happened between me and Connor?" She does one of her enchanting laughs before offering me some food which I happily accept. " He smelled you arousal." I spit out the tea I was drinking and stare at her amazed by her statement. " When your wolf put the idea into your head your subconscious started to have fantasies about what could happen between you two. Since he's your mate he can sense when you're in the mood." Raising my eyebrows I swallow the little amount of tea I managed to hold onto. " So your telling me that all of this happened because of Athena basically?" She shakes her head no before continuing " He isn't connected to Athena, they haven't met each other yet it's your desires he smells. " The conversation ends after that and we sit in silence eating while looking at the sky.
" I can't believe that you live here. It's so beautiful and quiet." She nods her head while laying back onto the flowers. " I am a goddess after all, what you see is how I want to be viewed by the world, I create beauty and give it to those who need it as a reminder to enjoy life and everything it has to offer. And I want to remind you that your life is more than just yours, it's the power to protect people around you that you care about, to defend and fight for those that can't, and more importantly give hope that with the kingdoms being united peace within the relms."
