The welcoming continued after everyone settled down. To those who knew exactly where Stephanie went, no words could describe how happy they were to see her return in one piece.
"So what fun events did I miss while I was away. I want to hear of all it as we party," Stephanie said playfully.
While other socialites try to mingle with others of higher status and influence, Stephanie and her friends had fun chatting and joking.
They were too immersed in their little reunion to recall that the party was still ongoing.
Apart from Mrs Adams, Jacky and Alexander, there was another group of ladies that were casting evil eyes on Stephanie. And these ladies were none other than the mother and daughter duo, Mrs Woods and Victoria.
"I have always tolerated her but not anymore. I won't sit down and watch her steal the man my daughter has set her mind on. I won't let her succeed. I will make sure I put an end to her if she doesn't do like I said," Mrs Woods muttered with a clenched fist.
