The Divine Foot Calendar is the calendar of the Divine Foot Lineage, compiled by the former Supreme Elder Jiang Ming.
It is said that Jiang Ming once suddenly observed the sundial upon the Star-picking Platform by day, and watched the stars and moon by night; at last he was moved and devised a calendrical system belonging solely to the Divine Foot Lineage.
Later, for reasons unknown, Jiang Ming actually offered his own body in martyrdom, sacrificing his heart beneath the starry sky. Thereafter, the Star-picking Platform he had personally constructed was renamed the Heart-Picking Platform, to commemorate the passing of this elder.
Within the Divine Foot Calendar, Jiang Ming set one year as ten months. Because nine is the extreme and ten the limitless, thereby conforming to the Way of the Ancient Ten Spirits.
