"People say Xiaoxi is very silent, cute, she cares a lot about her family and friends, she always does right , she has a sense of righteousness. and by god's grace she really is.
But let me tell you a secret, She definitely know how to use being cute to her advantage. so, you should be very careful. that wife of yours is very naughty and mischievous. Some times I wonder whether if I gave birth to a Monkey that looks like human."- laughed Mother Zhang.
"Mom!" embarrassed at her mother words Zhang Xiaoxi tried to stop her.
Cutting her off "Woah!! Monkey? I thought i am the only one that have such a name, Sister-in-law also has the same name? Great now i have a partner and this house has another monkey haha."- exclaimed Li Yan happily.
Everyone in the room laughed at Li Yan words except Li Jie who stole glances at Zhang Xiaoxi and found her expressions of embarrassment cute.
Looking at Li Yan, Zhang Xiaoxi didn't know whether she should laugh or cry. "If it were someone else I would have thrown a punch on his face but this guy seems to be my new brother-in-law" - she thought.
Sensing her awkwardness, mother Li went and slapped Li yan on his back-"you who do you think you are calling monkey? stupid boy, is that the way you talk to your sister-in law? come her now and greet your sister in law properly"
rubbing his back, Li Yan came to Xiaoxi. Standing in front of Zhang XiaoXi, Li Yan bowed" Hello Sister in law, I am Li Yan . Your husbands only brother, and the most handsome Li ever. If my brother bullies you, you can come to me always. My brother is super scared of me."
Coming closer he whispered to Xiaoxi " I have lots of embarrassing things to tell you about your husband. Let's team up and beat him okay?"
Not knowing what to answer zhang Xiaoxi smiled and nodded at him.
Giving a thumps up to Zhang Xiaoxi, Li Yan turned back. Thats when he realised his brother was glaring at him for his build up. Li Jie glare clearly told him that Li Yan's vacation for this year is gone.
"Xiaoxi, its your turn, greet your in-laws" reminded Mother Zhang.
Xiaoxi walked toward them and greeted Li Chen aka Father Li and mother Li.
"Dad, Mom"
"Welcome to the family Xiaoxi.I always wanted a daughter but I couldn't get any time to spend with your mom after these two brats were born . So we didnt give birth to the third child. But since you are here,
I got a daughter and can you please take care of my son, so that your mom don't have to worry about him and can spend some time with me "- said Father Li not at all embarrassed.
"You!! You what are you saying. Don't you know how to talk to your daughter in law."- glared mother Li at Father Li but her cheeks and neck were already red with embarrassment.
"Mom, its okay and D-D-Dad i will take care of Li Jie dont worry" ensured zhang Xiaoxi
This was the first ever sentence zhang Xiaoxi spoke from morning. Usually zhang Xiaoxi is the type that dont stop blabbering when started. People call her chatter box.
But because she was nervous and scared of Li jie, she didn't even speak a word at the bureau.
Everyone sat on the sofa , Mother Li and Mother Zhang were discussing something while everyone else were talking to each other.
And again, Li jie and Xiaoxi were made to sit close to each other.

Zhang Xiaoxi stomach rumbled . Li jie turned his head to zhang Xiaoxi when he heard the sound and could not help but smile at her.
On the other hand, Zhang Xiaoxi ears were all red and cheeks started to burn out of embarrassment.
"Mom Lets have lunch. I am hungry "said Li Jie to Mother Li standing up.
"Yes , yes I forgot Xiaoxi must be hungry too lets go, Aunty Gu, please arrange the lunch" said mother Li who then brought everyone to the dining table.
Feast was laid on the table as it was the most happiest day for Li family. Looking at all her favourite dishes , Zhang Xiaoxi felt warm at heart by Mother Li gesture.
"Come Xiaoxi sit beside Ah Jie, help yourself this is your home now. If you dont like something or want to eat anything you can ask Aunty Gu. Aunty Gu has been our caretaker for many years now.
Li jie's Grandmother sent her when i was pregnant with him. From then, she is the one who cooks and take care of us. Believe me , her cooking skills are top notch." - Explained Mother Li
"Welcome young madam. " bowed Aunty Gu to Zhang Xiaoxi
"dont do that i am the one who is supposed to greet you, you are my elder. Please dont do it" said Zhang Xiaoxi who then bowed to Aunty Gu.
"Hello Aunty Gu . Please take care of me"
Aunty Gu felt happy at Zhang Xiaoxi words and prepared a mental note to treat the young madam with extra care.
Everyone including Li Jie could sense zhang Xiaoxi respect for the elders. The way she talks to them, the way she behaves have bought her marks.
"Let's eat. Xiaoxi you should eat well, you are very thin. I heard that actors these days need to diet too much. Don't do it. It is not good for your health. Eat more okay?- said Mother Li
While everyone were eating, Zhang Xiaoxi's started getting hiccups. Before she could grab her water, Li jie who was sitting beside her handed her a glass.
Finished drinking water, zhang Xiaoxi Smiled and thanked Li jie nodding her head.
Lost in her smile, he nodded his head at her and lowered his head to continue eating while his thoughts were filled with her beauty.
Love can come to you in a way which you least expect. Never in their lives, would Li Jie and zhang Xiaoxi have imagined that they will get married to each other.
But love is what it is. once your heart gets connected to another, It gets connected in a way that you can't take it back.
Though they find each other a stranger now but what happens when they are bound to live together in the same room, sleep on the same bed?
