Underneath the rolling waves, fish swarmed in schools, various species swimming about in an almost harmony.
Going deeper led to larger creatures of all sorts of shapes. As they swam about they moved with a ferocity. Anyone studying them would come to a sharp realization that these fish were aggressive.
Yet still this was only surface level. Go deeper, and the light stops to shine.
In the darkness of the depths creatures akin to eldritch beings roamed near the sea floor. Occasionally a flash of bioluminescence could be spotted, but who knows what else had done the same.
Unlike Earth's sea, the hostility of the ocean led to the sea having a closed ecosystem. Anything within the waters could live entirely within the water without needing a hint of land or sky in their lives.
One creature swam about in these waters. It was short and stubby. Its fins moved about incredibly quickly as it dashed through the waters.
