Salamandor raised a hand and snapped his fingers. Around the stage the floor split apart and several instruments on a platform rose to take up the missing space. Several of Salamandor's clones all sat near these instruments, and a conductor raised his conductor's wand.
With a grin Salamandor announced, "A climax needs proper music. Hit it!"
The conductor waved a wand and all the clones of Salamandor began to play. Unidentified instruments played sounds similar to modern instruments. For instance a strange orb surrounded by strings released a wave of mana that sounded similar to an electric guitar, although it held a faint echo.
Merin could hear the music, but paid no attention to the heart thumping beat. She treated it as an attack on her hearing, preventing her from paying attention to subtle sounds. No matter, she'll take care of this.
Salamandor held his needle-like sword ready. Its thin frame looked so incredible fragile, yet it was still perfectly intact.
