It wasn't really a big deal for Roan to find the spy. As mentioned several times, he had seen so many different plots and spies in his time as a Death Spirit that it would actually be weird if he couldn't identify them. Of course, as long as he knew what he was looking for. He wouldn't spend every second of his life looking for suspects everywhere.
There is also the fact that Reliance said they were supposed to meet since a few days ago. Roan was pretty sure that this spy hadn't revealed herself out of fear of being caught in some trap or such.
