( Yuuki's POV )
When Xenovia took the new kabane sword, the bandage that was covering it came free and wrapped itself around Xenovia's arm, the bandage absorbed a little of Xenovia's blood and the bandage changed to a red color, and the giant blade was filled with energy.
The air around the sword had visible rippling strips and when Xenovia took a swing a blade of hardened wind flew towards me, my black spear grew crystals and transformed into a colossal sword, with a swing I cut the attack and the two blades that flew behind me exploded on contact with some trees.
I looked at these to evaluate the power of the sword and I must say that Soue did a decent job, Xenovia's next move was a jump attack putting all her power into her sword Durandal and I used my black spear to block her attack, the crystals that grew on my spear shattered upon contact with Xenovia's sword but my spear was able to stop her attack, the crystal fragments in the air filled with energy and shot towards Xenovia.
Xenovia: [ Accel ]
Xenovia had a materia imbued with neutral magic [Accel] and she was able to cover up one of her weaknesses, before Irina was there to cover for her but now she was growing stronger on her own.
I swung my colossal sword of light and a wide wave of light was created all around me, Xenovia jumped to dodge my attack and I threw my black spear at her, Xenovia blocked with her two swords and I grabbed her ankle with one of my bone tails, I turned around and threw Xenovia against one of the trees.
She made a loud sound as she collided but that was just her shield but she was somewhat stunned by the sudden jerk, I waited for her to recover and when she stood up she took a deep breath and then she put on a smile.
I was surprised that her spirit remained intact when the gap between us hadn't changed much since our last fight.
For her next move Xenovia let go of the handle of her kabane sword and she grabbed it by the red bandage, she started spinning the sword over her head and multiplied metallic wind blades flew from there, I created multiplied small hexagon barriers to block her attacks, Xenovia then threw the kabane sword at my feet and a dome of hardened air began to expand from there, I jumped back to avoid that and Xenovia at that moment used Accel again and she cut the distance between us, she attacked with her main sword and I blocked with my colossal sword.
We were locked for a moment and with a movement Xenovia nailed our two swords into the ground, I transformed my black spear into a scythe and was going for her neck but Xenovia grabbed the collar of my shirt and I instinctively stopped my attack.
Xenovia was staring at me and there was a blush on her face, she pulled me close and I moved my head forward too, Xenovia closed her eyes and we shared a kiss, on her back grew wings of light and fallen angel wings.
After finishing the kiss Xenovia rested her head on my chest and I tore the part of her exorcist suit and exposed her shoulder, she had the Sekirei number 74.
After that strange moment we had, we remembered we were in a competition and jumped back, far from each other.
Yuuki: I didn't expect this, since when did you go through the Sekirei process?
Xenovia: Almost immediately after I joined your group, I didn't want to ask you to be marked like the others, I wanted to take it with my power but this feels a bit unfair to have gained so much power just from a kiss.
Xenovia prepared to attack and with her still in the effects of the power up from our kiss I had to get a little more serious, I put a hand over my face and a Hollow mask appeared seconds later, Xenovia flapped her new fallen angel wings and without using [Accel] she reached great speed.
I spread my wings as well and flew back to avoid her but with a tug of the red bandage tied to her arm the kabane sword flew in a wide arc towards me, I created a crystal pillar to stop it, but when the sword made contact, an explosion was created and forced me to fly to the side pointing my colossal sword towards Xenovia I fired a few fast Cero attacks imbued with light magic that changed the color of the Cero to a golden one.
Xenovia put her two backs forward and my attacks were absorbed, fueling her increasing power.
Xenovia: What is that thing that the others use, a Norito? I don't know how to use that yet but I'm going to put everything I have into this attack.
Xenovia poured her power into her sword for a final attack although some of that power was escaping into the air, I did the same as her and as we swung our swords, energy blades flew forward, cutting the ground in their path, The attacks pushed each other and in the end my attack wiped out hers, the energy blade engulfed Xenovia and when the dust settled I saw Xenovia on one knee, her Durandal sword was on the ground, and her kabane sword was broken.
She was disheartened, but she quickly composed herself and put on a smile.
Xenovia: It seems I'm still far from reaching you, Kokabiel is waiting for you in a clearing north of here.
Yuuki: Thanks for the information, and don't worry, I'll create a new sword for you.
With her barrier completely depleted Xenovia was transported out of the combat arena, I followed the directions she gave me and I and my blades flew close to the ground towards the north.
Mythra: Master, I think you should be more aware of your actions, there are a lot of eyes on you right now.
Yuuki: I'll be fine, I won't let anyone jump me.
Pheliss: It's not the other participants you should be worried about; after seeing what happened in the competition, maybe that was the last push some people needed to take action.
Pyra: master sure is popular.
Yuuki: Would you mind explaining that further?
Mythra: You'll understand soon, but now you need to have your head in the game.
After saying that the girls transformed into their Blade form and flew into my hands, they were being cryptic and when they behave like that it always means trouble with women.
