A few months passed and Dean learned how to control Earth decently well he could move rocks and pebbles with barely a thought and now can control Boulders. Dean also learned to keep the rocks formed he would have to use his energy to press it passively, meaning he could now make weapons.
"Dean, you have progressed far now we can start enrolling you into the Mage Academy. First do you want to be known as a Super Elemental or Earth Elemental. I personally say you should tell the world who you are because they need to know the truth. People need to know something is coming and that you can solve it."He had a serious look on his face. "There will be risks of course but I think you'll manage, make sure to stay safe as well. The choice is up to you though I can't make you do anything. You will be enrolled into the Academy in a week or so."
I sat there and weighed the risks. On one hand it'll be easier for me and also I would be showing the world something is coming but on the other hand the world will be jealous and will be arrogant and test me. "I will show myself to the world because my family are safe right now because we are in the middle of no where. You must keep them safe Brandon"I need to get stronger and having to make up excuses or something would prevent me because of my fake identity.
"You have my word that I'll protect them with my life and if anything happens I'll send word to you." He gave off an intimidating vibe when he said that, making me shiver slightly.
On the way home I practiced making weapons and finding which suited me so far the sword is the best but also well known, there was also using just my elemental abilities for ranged and I'll have to learn Martial Arts for when I don't have a sword. Also with the animals I've been killing while training I have managed to get a few primitive items and 60 silver. I have collected a primitive Bear chest piece, a pair of primitive elemental shoes that are infused with water allowing me to quickly run on water if I activate them. I also have my most prized piece of primitive equipment which is my Silver fang dagger after all the blood it has consumed it is now sharp enough to cut through anything primitive and below with ease.
When I arrive home I told Mom and Dad about my plans on the future and they agreed and asked me to be as safe as possible. I kept training till the day we leave to the Academy, my family and I walked to the carriage sending me off to go study at the Academy. I said, "I will be safe guys don't worry about me I'll be back when I can and I will make sure you guys are safe. If there is anything wrong tell me okay guys." They looked happy and sad that their son is going off to Mage Academy.
"We'll miss you son and make sure to come back and visit." Dad and Mom both said that then hugged me goodbye.
I went inside the carriage and watched the scenery go by as I fell asleep. The trip is a about a week long and there wasn't much action so to keep myself busy I made different objects out of earth such as swords, knives, bowls, forks, to armor but it was heavy armor.
The Academy on the other hand was anything but boring it was built out of stone and had high walls, an enormous gate with guards wearing metal armor. I got out the carriage and walked to the guards and handed them my papers. "My name is Dean I come from Maple forest village, I am an Elemental and I am here to learn at the Mage Academy."
"The Guard looked at my papers then said welcome to Poseidon's Kingdom there are rules you must follow at all times, Most common asked are killing creatures is permitted outside the walls, killing another human except for self defense is a Major crime and can be punishable by death, and there are rules inside the Academy you must follow."
I pay the 1 silver fee and walk inside to the Kingdom. There were merchant shops on the roads with trinkets and also armor and weapons shops and inns to stay in. In the heart of the city was the Palace with gold and Aqua blue trimming. The massive walls looked like water rising out of the ocean and the guards wore armor
Next to the palace was the Academy and it was booming with people and waves of Elemental powers being shot out. I walked to the office and talked to the lady, "Hi, my name is Dean im here to register to become a Mage Apprentice."
"Fill out this form then go touch the orb on the desk it'll read your Element and your talent." She had a very tired and lazy face. The form was easy to do, it was basic things. When I gave her the form I walked to the orb and placed my hand on it, the orb exploded with all the colors. The Lady had her mouth wide open, then she rushed out to go find someone and came back with a shorter old man who seemed to walk with a limp.
"This boy made the orb glow all the colors. We need to tell the elders"the lady was whispering to the man.
"Bring him here let me see him and the orb." The older man then walked over to greet me. "Hello there my name is Rodney I'm a C-4 Light Elemental and I also am interested in your abilities. Do you know what you are?"
I knew people were going to be confused so I already knew how to answer him. "Yes, I am a Super Elemental from the Legends. I need to talk to someone higher up because I will need all the classes for all Elements."
The man nodded his head right away and said, "Here sir right this way" He walked outside to and across the land to the bigger building in the center. It was wooden and had stone pillars it looked like a miniature castle, the inside looked so beautiful and lavished with fancy furniture. I was led to an office where there older men sitting around the table and I recognized one of them straight away. He was the King Poseidon himself.
"Why did you bring this boy here during our meeting Rodney?" The King seemed to know Rodney.
"Sire, this boy is a Super Elemental. I saw it myself and he wants to speak to everyone." After Rodney said this everyone in the room turned to me and stared at me.
First I touched the orb to show them, it started to glow all the colors. All of them started talking quietly and then the King said, "You will be taken care of by the Academy and anything you need we'll try to help. For right now we'll keep it a secret of you a Super Mage until you are able to fend for yourself but you can take all the Elemental classes and we'll give you an allowance for everything you need of 10 gold a month. When you finish the Academy you'll have to work in tbe military for 2-4 years depending in where you work after that you can reenlist for more benefits. If you choose not to then you can become independent."
