The night was cool as Professor Grisham walked through Hesreth Street with the newly summoned twins trailing beside him. The lamplight flickered against the cobblestones, stretching shadows long and thin.
Aerin skipped a little as though the whole world was a game board laid at her feet, while Auron trailed with his hands tucked into his pockets, looking as though he'd rather sink into the shadows than follow along.
"Invicta is where you'll be," Professor Grisham explained in his deep, gravelly voice. "It houses Elenea and Zann. Beau, Aleck, Leonel, and Aranea are in Peculiari, but you'll see them often enough."
Aerin tilted her head, white hair bouncing with the motion. "So we're separated from our Summoner?"
"Not entirely," Grisham answered. "Aranea spends time with everyone. Consider it balance. Besides, this arrangement is temporary until Headmaster Gavin decides otherwise."
Auron finally spoke, his tone flat but curious. "And classes?"
