The chamber glowed red like the heart of a furnace. Lava rivers cut jagged lines across the ground, and in the center of it all stood the boss—an enormous molten beast, part dragon, part nightmare. Its scales blazed like burning coal, its every breath spilling fire thick enough to melt stone.
The Emerald knights faltered. One of them whispered, "That's not a monster… that's a volcano with legs."
Reinhard drew his sword, trying to look composed, but even his armor groaned from the heat. Yuki sat perched on his shoulder, small hands gripping tightly, his usual calm face uncharacteristically pale.
Then Sylas stepped forward, ice already crackling along his arm like living lightning.
["Step back. This one's mine."]
"Wait, yours?!" Reinhard barked, voice half-lost in the roar of flames. "Sylas, that thing is a walking apocalypse!"
["And I'm bored."] Sylas smirked, his translucent body glowing brighter with every second. ["Besides… fire makes the ice sing louder."]
