The first step in potentially traumatising your girlfriend was to find a spot to do it. While Kat was confident, she'd feel no ill-will towards Lily for ripping out her throat, especially not when it was necessary… Kat was less certain she could simply continue flying during the process, or immediately after it. This was still going to hurt and Kat wasn't sure how focused on the pain she'd be, or perhaps on controlling her reactions. Though that second part seemed unlikely.
