Kat continued doing random jobs until just after midnight, after which she headed over to Grandma's house and just waited around for her to wake up. It was a bit awkward, but it prevented her from being late. Grandma just opened the door, and casually chucked a bag of orbs at her when she was finished for the night.
Kat was ready to walk away when she paused mid-step. "Wait… while I do trust that you paid me properly… how do you know what jobs I even did? You had that bag ready and threw it at me before I so much as twitched in your direction."
"Let an old woman keep her secrets," answered Grandma with a grin.
