I needed a moment from the stupid damn system. Giving so many useless things while also throwing in some good ones from time to time. Worse, I felt even more like my stats were not really doing anything. Thinking about the last time I spun lottery tickets, I got more things than I felt like.
This time, it felt more useless despite it being a better tier of items. I could not help but wonder with better tickets whether things become rarer?
I shook my head, clearing my thoughts, taking a break from the system for now. I needed the break before I raged, and I thought about some things. Back in the beast-kin nation, fun things were happening. One of my favorites is that I had the Dragonic Elder Council reacting to everything I do. I knew that they were going to do something; they had to. They needed to; otherwise, my plans would move forward without them being able to stop.
Public sentiment in the Tribes with the War over meant so many things, and with the new border and new land, things had to happen. The Tribes would come and start to 'take' parts of land. Which would rightfully belong to those who conquered it. That quickly became complicated, and things would get interesting quickly because we would also want people to head east to take the land and work it.
My worries lay in the Bunny-kin Tribe at this point.
The Bunny-kin Tribe was riding high in the current atmosphere from back home, from what I read in reports. Due to my influence and the Elite army, we now are the ones paying and supporting the Border City and keeping it afloat, meaning the Bunny-kin Tribe had the most rights to the City.
With many other tribes being pulled in too, we have the population to start sending people over and occupying it more, which would not be a bad thing. With how many humans died in the war, the city's population was sparse to say the least. Which would be good if not for the fact that the people that we needed in Border City were the same ones I needed back home in the City we are creating at this time.
Educated people that I could use to educate and administrate the population in the Border City. It was true that the worst thing that can happen to you is that you get what you want sometimes. I wanted this city, I wanted an unplundered city to take control of, and the current issues we are facing are MASSIVELY better than taking a plundered and burnt city to the ground. There are farmers, laborers, and many skilled and guilded laborers.
Those are INVALUABLE, better than any worthless nobleman. It would take decades if we lost them. But with that, we encountered an issue of a lack of government officials, and frankly.
NO GODDAMN LAWS.
The Beast-kin nation was one run by tribes. The bunny-kin tribe had their own laws, the Dragonic had their laws, and sure, there were some that each tribe had to abide by, but not enough for a society to run on.
A tribal based nation was one that I had never expected to see and was even fucking worse than a damn city-state society. At least then, I can just push forward the laws that the city-state had when conquering. Instead, I now had to come up with my fucking own laws.
I shook my head. I was trading one frustration for another, and worse yet, although I could do something about the new worry, it would only create new ones. Again and again, it would just come with yet another new worry, as was the problem with governing.
Now I needed to distract myself from those problems. I turned back to my status screen.

Looking at it, I remembered something, and quickly I partook of a Free Allocation point candy.

Congrats, you received 8 free Stat points.

I sighed, wishing to get another twenty points instead, but took what I got. I quickly allocated them to Luck. It was something I was trying to test, and if I was going to do it, now was the time.

Looking at my new stat points, I also remembered the regeneration candy, which I had just gotten. I quickly partook of that too, and I got a familiar wheel and watched as my gaze darkened as it spun and eventually landed on the number.
-------
Congrats, you received 1 Regeneration Stat point.
-------
I looked at the point, single fucking point I just got, and I remembered how I felt last time. I just put in even more fucking luck stats and got one of, if not the worst, wheel spins on stats in my life. I literally could not go lower, and I took a deep breath.
It had to happen eventually, and it was the largest part on the board. But because I never really got it, I felt like there was a system thing against it. But now, I just glared at the singular stat point on the refreshed stat page.

Am I just at an unlucky time right now?
Actually, maybe I should come up with a way to test whether I am lucky or unlucky.
My brain tingled, and I hated that I was becoming superstitious, but this was getting crazy. The System literally said there was something like luck. Just like there were things like Toughness, Vitality, and Intelligence. But I felt like they did not exist; they were there to tease me.
But with the luck going up, and my luck seemingly worse, I felt more and more like the stat page was a fucking damn trap. My frustration grew, and I decided something quickly. I would come up with a system for deciding if I use the lotto system. The last two times I invested, I barely got anything out of it. It always felt like I didn't get good things, yet I remember the first system package I got when I was a baby.
One that turned me into a High Magical Silver Bunny-kin, and it changed my life. The reward for Sexual Tyrannosaurus still affects my life daily with my lovers. So the system can give good shit, and those were with MUCH smaller luck stats, and I received even more at the time.
There had to be something, and so I decided here and now, I would pick up five normal lotto tickets every time. If I got trash or nothing, I would not continue. I would have to get a MINIMUM of two things that I would not consider trash.
With determination, I picked up five normal lotto tickets.

My eyes narrowed as I looked at the winnings, and I sighed. No longer could I even doubt it. Right now, I have no luck, Stat point or not, it was all spent on the damn eight free allocation points. I could not help but feel that there was something weird with the luck stat. Luck was a fickle mistress, I believe the saying was, and I lay back up at the starry expanse.
Frustration laced through me because it was hard to get moments like these alone. I sighed once again, and I looked up into the past of the universe, knowing I was looking into thousands, tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands, millions, even billions of years into the past, while gazing into the expanse, and I could only wonder if Earth was among those stars.
I missed my friends, but I knew we made mistakes. We were kids given too much freedom and ideals without the experience to temper our decisions. If I were given the choice to go back, I wouldn't.
I love my life here too much now.
I looked out for several more moments and sat up.
I need to vent, otherwise I am going to get depressed in my short time off. There was that battle bitch Kendra who stuck around, and I hadn't been with her in a bit. I grinned, thinking about what I was going to do to her.
I knew she would love whatever I came up with by the time I reached her.
