As the skill information flooded his mind, Ace saw the enemy hero, identical to his own character model, charging at him at full speed.
"Whoah! Whoah! At least give me a minute to breathe!" Ace reacted instantly, raising his sword horizontally to block the incoming basic attack. The block was successful, but to his surprise, his HP bar still dipped slightly.
"Hey! What happened? I blocked the attack, so why did I still take damage?" Ace demanded, maintaining his defensive posture against the enemy's relentless assault.
"Damn it! So blocking is useless!" Ace cursed as he quickly jumped backward, twisting his body to narrowly evade the enemy's next swing.
He began to move laterally, executing small hops and side steps, dodging every predictable attack the enemy launched. The primary challenge wasn't the enemy's skill—it was his constant, aggressive presence.
Ace decided he needed space and time. He turned and ran a short distance to safety, quickly leveling up his Skill 1 and Skill 2.
"Slash and Dice!" Ace chanted, instantly executing the command for his second skill. Whether through innate talent or the fused memories of Ace Riveral, he was able to memorize and perform the skill perfectly.
He instantly charged forward, closing the distance and slashing the enemy with his sword. The attack significantly reduced the enemy's HP. The skill didn't end there; Ace felt the passive effect trigger, allowing him to immediately dash again toward the enemy, inflicting a second burst of damage.
"Whoah! That was pretty cool. Now let's try this! Destructive Sword Wave!" Ace swung his blade horizontally, unleashing a massive, visible wave of energy that sliced through the air and struck the hero directly.
The enemy champion's HP was now cut in half. Seeing his advantage, Ace briefly retreated, waiting for his skills to cycle off cooldown.
Ace began to toy with his target, jumping left and right and peppering the enemy with quick basic attacks. He was intensely focused on practicing his footwork, effectively dodging and weaving to avoid every counterattack.
Real-life athletes will definitely have a huge advantage in this game, Ace analyzed, dodging a wide slash. But I think I can manage this with a bit of exercise. Well, this isn't the only hero available. Maybe a mage would also be a good fit for me.
Seeing his abilities were ready, Ace ended the engagement in a flash. He executed a final dash and strike combination, overwhelming his opponent.
