Chapter 174: Interrupted
Old Greyeye Outpost, Laboni Border
TuTu's POV
The iron-headed axe crashed down like a collapsing mountainside.
TuTu wasn't there when it split the earth. She threw herself into a frantic roll, the displaced wind tearing a strand of hair from her scalp.
She scrambled to her feet instantly; staying still for a heartbeat near this orc meant being carved into two pieces.
Around them, the outpost was screaming. The clash of steel on iron and the guttural roars of the horde echoed through the choking smoke, but her world had narrowed down to the giant in front of her.
He was slow. That was her only mercy.
But it was the slowness of a landslide-inevitable, crushing, and utterly indifferent to whatever it flattened.
TuTu stayed low, darting beneath his guard. She drove her short blade deep into the thick meat of his thigh and retreated before his dull brain could even register the bite of cold steel.
