Elemental Beasts are similar to the Elemental Spirits that are born in places where the Essence of Nature is rich.
However, there were many differences between the Elemental Spirits and Elemental Beasts.
Elemental Spirits are only born in the Elemental Spirit World, which could only be entered by someone in their Spirit Consciousness Form, whereas the Elemental Beasts are born in the Elemental Source Lands and some other special regions, which cultivators could enter in their physical forms.
Another difference was consciousness.
When it comes to spirit consciousness, Elemental Spirits are no different from humans who can think and make decisions. And of course, once they form a contract with the Summoner, they could grow along with him.
Whereas in the case of the Elemental Beasts, they can't do what the Elemental Spirits are capable of, as they are driven by the primal instinct to kill.
'Especially when they encounter Summoners, they want to kill them.'
