Scattered across the Proving Field of Battle were thirty million corpses. And walking amongst those corpses were demons of war, numbering a full 300,000, with their bodies covered in wounds or blood. Not a single one was missing, nor was a single soldier of the Saber Faction lying amongst the dead.
Much of the blood wasn't from the living, and the wounds effused a clear smoky radiance, a sign of rapid regeneration far exceeding anything the Proving Field of Battle had ever witnessed. Amongst the wreckage of corpses, ruined land, crushed or broken machines of war, including siege weapons and mounts of draconic legend, an unstoppable army stood undefeated.
