Chapter 16 - Maeon, The Greedy Bastard

-"Hoho! Chris, would ya look at that! It's my brother, Levi!"-

The long-forgotten hum of an excited Demon buzzing through one's skull that Chris had silenced long ago had returned, and caused a slight bit of pain as he now walked to the boy he had seen sitting at the street sign.

...

+Levi, who the fuck is that?+

-"How should I know? Though his Demon is my Twin-Brother, Maeon... The Greedy Bastard."- (Roll Credits)

"This should be good..." George spoke to himself, standing up. Thank god, or whatever, that he was tall enough that it didn't seem like he was entirely adolescent. (Though being 16, he technically was).

Christopher bowed before George, then extended his hand for a standard shake. "Christopher Hedgings."

George sighed to himself, then took the man's hand and shook with a decent grip and swift-adeptness. "George Phoebe Klaus Taylor."

Christopher blinked a few times, then laughed. "That's one hell of a name, Kin of Leviathan."

George's eye twitched, as half his face was clouded with the shadow of his own hair, and his left eye blacked out to a gleaming yet encompassing black. His mouth moved, though not of his own will. "Levi Alveister the Tenth, thank you."

Chris stared back in avid surprise, having never seen a Demon so openly do such a bodily possession, and assumed that the boy must have sold a fair part of his soul for the Demon to do so, especially so readily. Being in the same situation, he sympathized greatly, as his eyes rolled into his skull to show Gleaming Golden Eyes with Dollar Signs for Pupils, and his mouth widening so far the very corners of his jaw were dwarfed by his all-encompassing smile. "So how's it been? How long have ya been in the Overworld?"

With this, Christopher and George were sidelined in their own bodies for a conversation between two top-tier Demon Lords, of Greed and Envy respectively.

"Not long. Some idiot tried to sacrifice this boy for Lucy's favor, so here I am." George's mouth bespoke to Maeon, Levi's will pouring through it.

"Heh. I've been stuck with this guy for over Twenty Years! He prayed to a certain... Deity, and since his intentions were purely filled with greed to win the lottery, here I am. It was quite a fun exchange, especially since this guy had zero luck and eventually lost all his money." Christopher's Living Corpse moving around to point towards the Rehab Center and continued. "We've been staying there for a long while till he got fed up with listening to everyone's woes, just got out and saw you here. What are the chances!?" Although speaking rhetorically, Maeon did wonder how such a reunion could be possible.

The car-door opened and shut, as Georgia walked out and stretched.

"Finally." She said to herself, as her hair floated around in the breeze-

Wait, what? There is no breeze???

Her hair burst into flames, her eyes mimicking the fashion, as she stared daggers through them both, steam and smoke pouring from her nostrils and ears.

"This host requires eradication. Maeon, use the coin. I want to go home." Setanta spoke in a malevolent and vile voice, straining Georgia's Vocal Chords. It was only through the grace that she had fallen asleep from her Sugar Crash that he was temporarily able to speak through her. Generally, when she was awake he was asleep, and thusby, vice versa.

"Well I'll be damned! The three Demon Lords of Second Coming all in one place. If I didn't know better, I'd say this was a set up!" Maeon laughed to himself, causing Christopher's gleaming hair to shine in the setting sunlight.

"It was, you blabbering moron. I did it." Setanta rolled his hostess' eyes and scoffed in feigned arrogance. He loved his brothers, but relatively... They were dumb, probably.

George couldn't help but sigh, watching this from an 'inside window' as it were. This was definitely not how he planned on solving this issue by any means.

"Right right, sorry big guy. The coin, yes?" Maeon finally replied after laughing for minutes on end, all alone.

"Yes." Setanta replied quickly and to-the-point, a little irritated that his brother hadn't just listened the first time.

"Well I'm afraid there's gonna be an issue with that, big brother. My host lost the coin from his shitty luck and constant gambling. Yep! My greatest artefact reduced to common currency! Poof! Just like that! He lost it quickly too, haha. Too bad he hadn't figured out how to flip it first." Maeon laughed to himself with glee, as Setanta's boiling face and blood made Georgia look less like a young beauty, and more like an indignant... Well, cunt.

"Then how do we get it back!?" He finally shouted back.

Maeon's seemingly endless smirk, both physically and chronologically, began to widen at these words. "Have you ever heard of Don Gregori Parlem? He currently owns the coin. Better yet, he's possessed by our brother!"

Levi and Setanta stared in avid surprise, having not expected their entire family (effectively) to be in the Overworld. After a few moments, Levi thought to himself, then asked.

"Which one?" His brows furrowing in quizzical fashion.

"Belzye. Yep, pretty sure. Owned by a guy more gluttonous than him, somehow! Hahaha." Maeon laughed to himself, as Setanta's firey nature died down to become mere smoke, and Levi's shadowy nonsense closed to a halt, and they all looked at eachother, upset.

"How the fuck..." Levi began asking-

"How are we going to get that coin back?" Setanta finished his thought.

"Oh, don't you know? He lives right here, in Schlepping. Yep!" Maeon began laughing forever after that, as his brothers looked at eachother in confusion and sadness.

"Hahaha! Oh man, you guys should see your faces!"
