Ling Chuxia's large eyes narrowed slightly, her belly full of doubts had reached a climax. How come, after waking up from a sleep, Shi Che's behavior was so strange?
As she pondered, Shi Che finished talking with Xiao Zhao. Xiao Zhao glanced her way with a subtle smile, then whispered something in a hushed voice. Ling Chuxia couldn't hear it clearly, but saw Shi Che listen with his usual calm demeanor. Yet, a touch of pleasure flitted across his brow, and he gave Xiao Zhao a faint nod in response.
Ling Chuxia's brows were knitted tightly, forming two small peaks.
After Xiao Zhao left, Shi Che turned and walked back to the dining table. Seeing that Ling Chuxia's bowl of Red Bean Porridge had hardly been touched, he couldn't help but speak up, "Why aren't you eating?"
Ling Chuxia glanced at him sideways; he had been all mysterious since early this morning, and her curiosity was killing her. How could she have any appetite?
