Che was squatting, and she was seated in the chair by the entryway, so their eyes met instantly, those deep brown irises radiating a warm glow as always.
His lips curved into a slight smile, and instead of speaking first, he quietly lowered his gaze, one hand holding her foot, the other working on the buckle of her high heels.
Though he had never done such a thing before, at that moment he seemed incredibly natural and fluent. He undid the buckle, slowly slipped the high-heeled shoe from her foot, then fetched her house slippers and slipped them onto her feet, one by one.
Chuxia just stared blankly at Che's every move, unable to react. It wasn't until Che had finished and looked up into her dazed eyes that the smile on his lips deepened. "What's with that expression?"
