She stared blankly at Ji Mingyue, her pretty little face immediately showing five distinct claw marks.

"Who let you hit her!" He grabbed the hand with which Ji Mingyue had struck Ji Anning, his eyes red with fury as he glared at her.

Not just Ji Mingyue, but Ji Anning too was shocked, forgetting her pain. Seeing his look, as if he were about to tear Ming Yue apart, she stood with her mouth agape, her eyes moistening.
She bit her trembling lips, choosing to bear the pain and turn around to enter her room.

After Anning had entered her room, an angry reprimand from the elder, full of warning, came from outside the door.
