The dorsal protrusions rose along his back in their two parallel rows.
Above his head, a spinning multicolored crown of flame orbited. It burned with the full spectrum of his Quintessence Infiniforce, multicolored and brilliant and carrying the specific authority of a being who had built his crown rather than inherited it.
