The next day—the weekend, as Clara had previously mentioned—the two of them were now in the car heading to Clara's father-in-law's residence.
Clara gave her husband a faint smile, who looked a little nervous next to her.
"That's okay, honey. Papa wouldn't think you're weird just because you suddenly visited him unannounced," Clara said playfully, teasing her husband.
Honestly, Mr. K was fully aware of his wife's words, but for some reason, his ego continued to flare as if to mock him, as he seemed to be breaking down the high walls he had built against his family.
"If you don't dare to tell Papa straight that you miss him, just say I miss him. Besides, that excuse would make sense, and I do miss him. It seems like Baby K Junior misses his Grandpa too," Clara said casually, still busy teasing her husband with her hand rubbing her stomach which was no longer flat.
