Chapter 51 - Target Brian next

"Perhaps after you transfer ownership of your store to me," Olivia said, scoffing lightly.

Dylan burst into laughter, as though she had just told the funniest joke he had heard in his life.

"Miss Emma is quite expensive," he said once his laughter subsided. "I'm Dylan, since you seem to have forgotten my name. And I'm serious. A cup of coffee would do."

Olivia ignored him completely.

When she stopped at the installation devices section and requested a tracker along with CCTV equipment, Dylan's lips curved into a knowing smile.

"I actually majored in this field before starting my acting career," he said casually. "I can help you install everything at your place. You can repay me with a cup of coffee."

Olivia snapped her head toward him.

"What exactly are you?" she asked, staring at him in disbelief. For a brief moment, she genuinely wondered what he was made of.

Most people would have backed off by now.

But this man seemed abnormally patient.

Almost immune to irritation.

"I'll pass," Olivia replied curtly and turned to the sales representative.

She specified that the tracker needed to be extremely small, small enough to be hidden within something the twins would always carry with them.

When everything was selected and packed, she spoke again without even glancing at Dylan.

"He'll pay."

The words hit Dylan like a slap.

One of the workers followed Olivia out for the installation, while Dylan stood rooted to the spot, momentarily at a loss for words.

He only let it go after realizing he had pushed far enough.

Asking to go to her house would be risky.

If anyone took photos, intentionally or otherwise, it could be used against them later, especially after the movie's release.

As they exited the store, Dylan continued trying to get Olivia to at least give him her number.

She ignored him entirely.

Her mind was already calculating how to obtain higher-end equipment later, gear suitable for her own use.

At least Dylan hadn't been completely useless.

She'd gotten something worthwhile out of tolerating him.

Just like that, Olivia walked away with her free purchases, completely unfazed by the man who had been tailing her all day.

He was still nearby.

Lurking.

By the time she returned home, it was too late to meet the twins. Their school bus had already left.

She set up her laptop immediately while the technician installed the CCTV at the designated spots.

The man left once he finished. Dylan had instructed him not to accept payment, and Olivia hadn't planned on offering anything anyway.

Olivia's expression turned serious as her fingers danced across the keyboard.

The laptop was charging, yet she worked simultaneously.

It didn't take more than twenty minutes for her to breach nearby surveillance systems.

The stalker was skilled.

He avoided most cameras entirely and was only captured briefly when he took her photo.

Olivia enlarged the footage, searching for identifying details, anything to build a lead.

Nothing.

A blank slate.

Still, she confirmed one thing:

Someone was watching her.

And unfortunately for Sammy, she was the only suspect Olivia could think of.

Her lips pressed into a thin line as she got to work.

She didn't waste time.

Accessing the footage from the day her transmigration occurred took longer than expected.

She watched as Sammy strutted toward her car like royalty, the delay before departure obvious.

Olivia didn't know exactly what she was looking for, but she tracked the vehicle anyway.

Just as she hoped, the car screeched to a sudden halt.

Cameron was shoved out, the vehicle speeding away immediately afterward.

The girl stood frozen, rubbing her cheeks, head lowered, shoulders slumped.

Olivia let out a soft, mischievous chuckle.

Without hesitation, she clipped the footage, edited it just enough, and uploaded it under Sammy's fan page.

The views skyrocketed.

Shares multiplied.

Speculation exploded.

Stories were fabricated faster than facts.

As if fueled by renewed confidence, Brian's fans stormed the comment section again, but this time, Sammy's supporters were few.

It felt like a slap across her face.

They would retaliate, of course.

But they'd need time, to fabricate, to deny, to prove the footage was fake.

Olivia had been careful.

She included a clip showing Sammy entering the car.

Her vehicle was unmistakable.

Olivia leaned back, thoroughly satisfied.

That was exactly why Sammy was terrified.

Even if Olivia hadn't erased every trace leading back to herself, no one would bother searching.

Brian's fans were ruthless.

They cleared his path of obstacles without mercy.

Olivia grinned.

"Let's see how much time you'll have to worry about me now, idiot."

Her gaze sharpened.

Next, she would turn her attention to Brian.

Not the way she had done with Sammy.

This time…

She wanted him to notice her.
