Adrian knew that he can no longer push for the last Asmodian soul fragment because the gods in the southern continent were far more collective when it comes to foreign beings. Even if they sometimes argue with territory and such, the gods of the southern continent are united when it comes to threats to their land. This is actually quite something that the central continent lacks because of the power structure here.
"The central continent does not have a god king to rule it entirely because this place is the densest of all when it comes to the protection of the world barrier. It is also why there are lots of hidden plots and schemes floating about. I just need to make myself feel better by getting one of the elementums instead."
