Jack forced himself to control the anger he was feeling after he calmed down Jack continued walking through the trees slowly so that the enemies did not realize that someone was approaching.
As a hunter Jack was an expert in walking silently through the forest, after walking a little further he can see the first man among the three who killed his father, Jack can see that he was a man who looked 36 years old and had a great beard.
Jack realized that this man had a sword beside him and should have been watching while the others slept, Jack could not see any bows near his enemies and so he took his bow and placed an arrow silently.
Jack saw that the other two men were sleeping in sleeping bags on the floor near the fire and the man he was watching, the two men sleeping had swords next to them, so Jack had to be smart and not take any chances to kill the killers of his father.
So Jack approached a place where he was sure he could kill the man he was watching, Jack shot the arrow that hit the man he was watching in the throat, the man couldn't even react and couldn't scream and had to cover his neck to prevent bleeding.
But Jack hit an artery in the neck of this man who in a few seconds died of blood loss from the arrow, the two men who were sleeping had not yet woken up because the man fell far from where they were sleeping.
Jack left the two bags with the things he was carrying and put the bow and quiver with the arrows on the floor, so Jack came forward only with his sword in his hand slowly so as not to wake the two men.
When he got close to the two men, Jack could see that one of them had better armor and the other had the same armor as the man he was watching, so Jack could see who was the leader between the two men who were sleeping.
Jack slowly approached the man who was one of the sleeping henchmen and quickly cut his throat and held his mouth to keep from letting out any noise before he died.
The man woke up after having his throat cut in despair and just saw Jack holding him in one hand and with a sword in his hand, the man didn't think to react and just wanted to survive, but he couldn't even try to stop the bleeding because Jack was holding one of his arms.
The last thing this man saw was Jack's eyes filled with hatred looking at him, Jack calmed down after killing this man more, that night had been the first time he killed a man, but his hatred didn't allow him to felt guilty for doing this.
Jack looked at the other man who was still sleeping, Jack knew that this man was the leader of the other two who were dead and primarily responsible for the death of his father, Jack went over to where this man was sleeping and took the man's sword away.
This time Jack was not very careful and took his sword and cut the tendons and nerves behind the knee of the man sleeping on both legs thus preventing him from escaping, Jack was quick to do that and the man woke up scared screaming with the pain he felt.
Jack wasted no time and cut the tendons and nerves in a man's arm, the man felt pain again and soon realized he was in danger, he was experienced and had done a lot of dirty work like that.
Then he endured the pain and tried to understand the situation he was in, he saw Jack who was looking at him coldly and saw the two men who were with him dead with their throat cut, the man criticized the two men he hired who they had died without protecting him.
"Calm down, I don't know what's going on, but I think you got the wrong person, my name is Luiz and I'm a merchant from the capital and I was returning with my security guards after completing a mission."
"You will not want to kill me because the kingdom guards will investigate what caused my death and you will die too."
"Did you say mission? Was your mission to kill a blacksmith in a village near here after torturing him? This is what you call a mission !!!"
This was a strategy that Luiz had to understand what situation he was in, so his enemies would normally say what he had done so that they would come to attack him, but this was the situation where he was in the greatest danger so he could not go wrong.
"I see, you must be one of the hunters in that village where I killed that blacksmith, the leader of your village even said that the hunters would soon return to the village, I thought he was threatening me with this and it looked like you are really talented at tracking me."
"But let me say a few things before you think about killing me, I was a mercenary a few years ago and today I just follow orders from my boss who is one of the richest and most influential traders in the kingdom of Andaria."
Jack was very angry and did not want to hear Luiz speak and was thinking of killing him quickly, but when he heard that he worked for a merchant and just followed orders he soon realized that someone had had his father killed.
"So you're saying that you went to my village to kill that blacksmith just because your boss told you to?"
"That's right, my boss must have already sent some of his employees to buy animal hides and skins with you and other hunters in your village, that's how he knew where your father was and sent me to your village with mine subordinates to kill that blacksmith."
Jack calmed down a little more by hearing that someone had sent Luiz and his men to kill his father, now Jack had to make Luiz tell whoever had his father killed before he could kill Luiz.
"I think you are lying so that I don't kill you, what merchant is your boss? And why would someone important like him want to kill a simple blacksmith in a small village?"
"I am telling the truth, I am going to tell you the story and so you can see how I am telling the truth and set me free, so you will not be killed by the kingdom guards."
