After the light show, Larry and his new pet god came back to the group to ask what they should do next. Ignis turned to his leader and asked "Should we not have reported this to the higher ups first before doing this? I do not think they would like us to take a stance on this without their imput."
"Don't worry about them, i have been in this business long enough to know how to handle them." Rak stated. Then turned to Larry and said "Ok powerful one, give me the phone."
With just a thought a crystal device appeared in his hands and threw it to Rak. This device looked like an old brick phone from long ago, but was carved from a glowing blue crystal with what looked like machine parts inside of it.
Anubis, who has never seen such a device, had to ask "What kind of device, have you, to contact others in a different dimension? That should be beyond humans realm of power."
As Rak was pushing keys on the device, Ignis spoke up to enlighten him "That is an interdimension phone, something we have come up with only in the last couple of years. Enchanted machine parts that allow communication housed within a shell of magic crystals to fuel its long range it has to cover. Comes in handy."
As Anubis was thinking how grand human technology has become on other worlds, a voice finally came through the dimensional phone. A voice full of static but will barely discernable was heard from it. "Report" was the only word that was said.
"This is Yama in charge of mission Maximus we have a report about the sitiuation." Rak stated through the reciever.
After a few minutes of conversation describing what has happened over the course of the three days they have been in this world Rak finally got to the part about what Anubis has told him and his theory on why this world has so much mana interferance. Lastly without mentioning what has already happened just earlier he asked how they should proceed. Before getting an order to wait for a response.
After a few minute wait the phone began to static again before the voice was heard. "Orders have come in. Under no circumstance are you to make a contract with that being, the boss does not want us to get involved in such a matter without more details." The handler spoke.
With a wierd look, Larry and Ignis, both stares at their captain as if asking so what do we do now?
Without even noticing the two, Rak spoke with a sorry tone while shaking his head "That may be a problem, it is already over and done with. Operative Larry could not be stopped when offered such a deal for power. We tried to stop him but it was too late. It was out of our control"
"Hey! That is not what happened." Larry yelled before getting his mouth covered by James holding him in place. Making sure he could not disrupt whatever plan the captain has.
After another wait for them to relay the message to the boss, Rak looked at Larry before saying "Put down a fixed beacon, they will be coming shorty."
With a look like he has been wronged for a crime he did not commit he snapped his fingers and a two large metal rods with crystals appeared in the air before slamming down into the ground 10 feet apart.
With one last crackel of the phone a final sentance was issued from a new but enraged voice "Prepare for our arrrival, we will settle this."
Shortly after that statement was heard a quick bolt of lightning was seen coming from the crystal poles shooting between the two before a great tear was formed between them. It slowly grew until it stabalized and made a portal from one pole to the other.
After it was stabalized a group of five men came out of it. Three of them was dressed in high class business suits that screamed "I am important." The last two had combat gear of the highest caliber, and menacing weapons along with. Bodyguards for sure.
After coming through the portal, the five men took notice of the destruction of the town around them and piles of bodies still literaing the road from what happened before the team got there. Two of the important people who just entered went pale with fright seeing such damage.
The man in the middle who was the tallest and apparently most important yelled as soon as he saw the group of six infront of him without caring for what was around him "Which one of you dares to take matters into his own hands like this."
Without missing a beat, Rak took a step forward and declared with a tone of pure confidence "Me. What are you going to do about it."
