Facing the wrath-filled Shepherd's Staff, Matthes finally took a step back, but his shadow strangely remained in place.
Thick blood gushed continuously from the shadow. Fresh red muscles and sinews swiftly grew, intertwining and tangling around a pure white skeleton. In an instant, they formed the outline of a human figure. Bone wings unfurled behind it, and pure white feathers grew rapidly. A divine Halo rose above its head, showering down pure white light. Then, it illuminated a patch of ghastly flesh. This seemingly perfect shell, with intact organs and symmetrical muscles, burned with vigorous Source Fluctuation. Yet, from head to toe, not an inch of skin covered it. All the muscles, dripping with blood, lay exposed under the Halo, as if the skin had been savagely stripped away, leaving such a grotesque appearance.
