"Wow!" A scream erupted beside Adrian's ear, startling him as he was half-asleep and nearly making him jump off the couch. Then, he saw two little faces, hands covering their mouths with mischievous grins.
"Juliet, Deva, are you disturbing Daddy again?" Sophie half-emerged from the kitchen and called out, her tone a mix of reprimand and affection.
"Daddy looks so cute when he's sleeping," Juliet said cheerfully, and just as she finished speaking, she squealed as Adrian grabbed her into his arms and started pinching her cheeks.
"Dare to say Daddy is cute? Looks like I need to take care of you, little miss!" Adrian said in a mock fierce tone. However, he had only pinched her a few times before Deva came rushing over, swinging her fists. "Daddy, don't bully Sister!"
