Summer Ford gaped at him in shock, clearly not expecting he didn't come because of this reason.
"Next time something like this happens, call me," Ethan Laurent said lazily, not elaborating further, as he withdrew his crossed legs and switched to a reclining posture.
"Okay." Summer replied hesitantly and shifted her gaze to the dining room, "I'm so hungry, I haven't had dinner yet!"
She stood up wanting to head to the kitchen, just as Lana walked in.
Lana walked towards her and asked considerately, "What would you like to eat, Madam? I'll make it for you!"
"Thanks, Lana. Do we have cake?" Summer thought for a moment and said.
"Don't eat that without having dinner first. It's too sweet and the cream is hard to digest. I have nourishing soup, I'll serve it for you!" Lana chided her lightly and went to the kitchen.
Her nagging only made Summer smile softly.
Summer actually didn't dislike nagging. On the contrary, this kind of caring nagging made her feel warm.
