"What are we going to do?" Ethan Laurent asked while driving.
"You'll know when we get there," Summer Ford didn't explain but kept directing him, "Left, straight ahead, straight ahead, turn right..."
Ethan Laurent mechanically followed her instructions, steering the car this way and that, and they finally stopped at a commercial district.
Summer Ford headed into a shop, while Ethan stayed in the car; she went in alone.
She didn't know what she was doing inside, but when she came out, she looked around nearby and then headed into a boutique.
She seemed to have bought some things, but Ethan Laurent didn't ask.
Back at home, Summer Ford rummaged through his clothes to find his wallet.
She was quite natural at doing this now, not knowing where he had put it, and felt around in his clothes more than once.
Ethan Laurent felt itchy all over as she kept scratching at him.
"What's up?" He grabbed her wrist and proactively handed his wallet to her.
