Ethan Laurent's hand just wasn't very easy to move, and when he came back he didn't really seem to take the injury seriously.
Leaning back on the sofa, he was even handling Rousseau's matters like normal.
Summer Ford stared at his wound for quite a while, then tested the waters and asked, "Does it hurt?"
Back there, what she'd seen had actually been pretty shocking.
"Heartbroken?" Ethan's gaze shifted to her face, faintly teasing.
Summer didn't answer his question. She grabbed a throw pillow and propped up his elbow, then set the documents in his hand off to the side.
"The doctor said you'd better not put too much strain on your wrist these next few days. If nothing at the company is urgent, just put it on hold for now."
Ethan's hand went stiff as he let her hold it, and he froze for a second.
Was she… worrying about him?
Summer looked down at his hand, stayed quiet for a while, then suddenly let out, "Why did you rush over there like that? I was actually fine."
