While deep in thought, Ethan Laurent's phone suddenly rang.
He glanced at the caller ID on the screen and picked up the call.
The call was from Esther Shaw, and she opened with, "Come back tonight, Grandpa is in the hospital!"
"Okay, I know." Ethan froze, hadn't even finished dinner, and stood up, heading towards the entrance.
Summer Ford didn't expect this coincidence and sighed softly.
Watching him change his shoes, she knowingly asked, "Are you going out?"
She asked with a hint of relief, knowing he was about to leave, her expression visibly relaxed.
The thing Ethan hated seeing the most was her looking like this, was she happy that he was leaving?
He glanced at her shoes next to him and gestured with his eyes, "Put them on, let's go together!"
Summer was taken aback, her nerves which had just relaxed suddenly tensed up again.
Was he incapable of seeing her in peace?
"I'm waiting for you," Ethan urged.
