[Viscount Zack's Territory]
3 days has passed since the bandit attack, everyone was still hyped out as they gathered towards Shun himself. After all he became quite famous among the group for easily killing numerous bandits and leaders as fast as he can.
Even though his adventurer status has become stagnant and somewhat gotten demoted after long time of inactivity and some rules and criteria changes in the adventurer guild which landed him as a C-Rank adventurer, his skills alone was among the top rank of A-rank based on standards alone.
With so much potential he could easily become an S-rank if he made an achievement worthy of such rank. Because of that many wanted to make a connection to such potential figure before its too late. Some even wanted to form a party with him, in the end he rejected it as his intention of going back to being an adventurer has an underlying goal.
With that they simply shared stories as Shun shared his own experience especially in regards to many strong individuals he had encountered during the exam.
Hearing that there are many prodigies aside from him during his academy years, thos adventurer couldn't help but felt like the times were changing and a new era was about to sprout. After all this sudden rise in prodigies was unprecedented and it could mean either a good omen or bad omen.
Good omen since the increase in prodigies meant that the future of the world would increase in value. Bad omen since this could also mean that the world is preparing for something dangerous thus producing many strong and talented individuals.
As for that unknown danger it could mean war, unknown threat, or an apocalypse. But that is a story for another time.
Days went passed just like this and as always there is also an end. Once the caravan reached its destination which is the first border city inside viscount Zack's territory, the adventurers which has different destination soon dispersed after leaving contacts with each other.
While others stayed in the city, and others walked outside the city walls to reach the near next settlement, Shun and Sephiria took another caravan that will bring them straight towards the viscount's main city without any trouble.
After spending one night in a tavern of Sephiria's choice and took an early breakfast, both Shun and Sephiria then rode the last carriage of the caravan as they headed towards the main city of the viscounty.
With that another 4 days had passed without much trouble aside from occasional monster attacks and refueling of supplies.
At last after some gruesome travel, they finally reached the main city of the viscounty as they stayed in an inn for the night before heading towards Viscount Zack's mansion on the very next day.
The next morning when Shun and Sephiria arrived before the Viscount's gate, the soldier on the gate immediately recognized Shun as he greeted them and immediately let them inside. Alongside it the guard even teased Shun on who was the girl with him and wonder if he is his girlfriend.
When Shun revealed that the woman beside him is his fiance, the smile on the guards lips suddenly twitched as he never expected that their relationship went beyond that.
As if like a real friend who envied his relationship, the guard spat on the ground is disdain.
If anyone is wondering who was that guard, it was the same guy who had confronted Shun back when he was sent to the viscounts mansion after his achievements in Ruric town.
At first they were at odds at each other, but after time passed by when Shun repeatedly appear on the mansion to guide Millia on her birthday party, they naturally grew close like best buds during their free time.
Once Shun was let in, the head butler greeted him and immediately made it known for Viscount Zack and his daughter Millia that Shun and the Duke's daughter has arrived.
Once the news was heard, Millia came rushing past her father as she lounged towards Sephiria and even happily greeted Shun. After all never did she expect to see both of them after the graduation ceremony. So basically this meeting was one of the rare opportunity he had to encounter them outside the academy.
Soon after Viscount Zack greeted them and led them to his study room as he had his maid bring some tea and sweets for this occasion.
Of course after getting into the study room, Viscount Zack was in a awkward position as her daughter Millia was I between Sephiria and Shun as if she had no intention of letting them go. But upon seeing Sephiria's kind and gentle attitude towards his daughter, Viscount Zack just deemed this as investment for future bright relationship between their families.
From there it was time to discuss why Shun and Sephiria who supposedly have bright future, decided to go to his territory which is literally a border between the kingdom and some foreign land.
"So may I know why you guys are here in my border territory? As far as I know since you are engaged to the Duke's daughter, you also became the sole heir to the duchy... don't you have much to learn?"
"I do actually but I put it to the side for now, I have a goal on why I am here... I am looking for something"
"Looking for something? May I know what it is? Is it an object? If it is, I can help you look for it"
"I appreciate the offer but it won't be easy to look for it like finding a missing child in your territory, what I'm looking for is something more mysterious and meticulous, I don't even know what it looked like and if it is even solid, or liquid"
"You don't know what your looking for looks like? Then how can you find it?"
"I only know its name... Viscount Zack do you know what's the 4 powers that serve as the foundation of the world?"
Hearing that Viscount, admittedly shook his head as he never heard of such term. Nevertheless Shun still diligently let him on the know on what they were looking for and why Shun felt like he could find it near the border area on the south of the kingdom.
