As soon as Jacobs soul heard that voice he immediately awoken from his trans like state. It felt like being in a long coma and suddenly waking up and feeling rejuvenated. When his consciousness came through, Jacob wasn't scared or anxious about the concentric golden flame or the ethereal voice, he didn't even acknowledge the situation at first, he was just happy and relieved that he finally woke up from that state of oblivion because being in that state made him feel like he was having a tug of war with himself and the only way to win is to make sure neither sides drop the rope(A/N: you guys don't know how badly I wanted to put 'drop the soap'), he had a feeling that if he allowed that to happen his consciousness would have disappeared along with his soul.
As he was still trying to get his bearings back he suddenly heard the ethereal voice say ~~ WE NEED TO TALK~~ hearing that voice and witnessing the phenomenon in front of him, Jacob didn't know how to react to the situation, hence he did the only logical thing a human would do and asked "what....are you?" The ethereal voice didn't reply for quite awhile making Jacob feel like he was hallucinating everything, just before his imagination could run wild he heard the voice speak again, saying

Before he could even finish his thoughts the voice carried on ~~YOU WERE RIGHT IN KEEPING YOUR SOUL AND CONSCIOUSNESS AS ONE, BECAUSE A SOUL IS JUST A VESSEL AND THE CONSCIOUSNESS IS THE ESSENCE THAT MAKES THE VESSEL FUNCTION, NOT KEEPING THE BLANCE BETWEEN THE TWO AFTER LOSING YOUR MORTAL SHELL IS THE SAME AS SENTENCING YOUR ESSENCE TO OBLIVION~~
As if the owner of the voice was reading his mind, it answered all the confusion Jacob had about the tug of war he was having when he was in limbo but that alone couldn't clear his mind from it's delirious state. ~~BUT IF WHAT YOU ARE WORRIED ABOUT IS, IF YOU WERE ABLE TO SAVE THEM FROM THEIR PERIL THEN YES YOU DID AND THEY GREW UP TO BE SPLENDID HUMANS FROM YOUR PERSPECTIVE, THEY EVEN SAVE YOUR KIND FROM DESTROYING THEMSELVES BECAUSE THAT WAS THE FATE OF MANKIND IF IT WENT ALONG ITS PREVIOUS PATH....WHAT WE FIND PECULIAR IS HOW A MORTAL SOUL WAS ABLE TO ESCAPE THE TWO PATHS OF DEATH AND SURVIVE FOR AS LONG AS YOU DID IN THE COSMOS~~ after listening to the voice Jacob felt relive and was able to regain his composure and asked "what are the two paths of death and why wasn't I able to experience it?"

Jacob felt like he was giving way too much information and no matter how much of a genius he was he couldn't fathom any of the things he was just told. Like what the hell is the heavenly will, "reincarnation or judgement"?! I thought they were only here-say created by humans to have some sort of purpose in life. It felt like his reality was shattered and was replaced with a mixture of confusion and uncertainty. He could only innocently nod his non-existent head in recognition for what the owner of the voice just said.

Jacob looked like he was in deep thought but in reality he was having a panic attack inside, I mean the owner of the voice just gave him an ultimatum, he either gets destroyed, which he wouldn't pick for obvious reason or get reborn into the unknown but he was always wary about the unknown who knows it might be worse that disappearing forever....decisions, decisions.!! As Jacob was thinking of which of the two choices to pick he heard the ethereal voice speak up again: ~~ TO MAKE MATTERS EASY FOR YOU, I'LL LET YOU PICK A WORLD OF YOUR CHOICE AND TO SWEETEN THE DEAL I'LL FULFIL FOUR OF YOUR DESIRES FOR YOUR NEXT LIFE. ONE FOR EACH OF THE YOUNG SOULS YOU SAVED. AFTER ALL THEY WERE ABLE TO THE SALVATION OF A WHOLE RACE OF SENTIENT BEINGS, ALL THANKS TO YOUR TIMELY RESCUE ~~

Hearing the first half of that statement it will be a lie if He said he wasn't disappointed but after hearing that he's running out of time he decided to choose one of the worlds in the 4 mangas he enjoyed reading, since wu-tang movies can be considered parallel versions of earth and the only manga he could think of in which he can have his dream of genetics exploration, is naruto since there is a lot of bloodlines with incredible abilities in that world.
The only problem is that, he didn't get to finished that manga, so he can't make use of the future knowledge to his advantage since he stopped reading that manga half way through it. His only remedy to that problem, is by choosing to be born 100 years before the start of everything so that he can create a powerful clan to replace the family he never had in his last life.
With his world set he told the otherworldly being his decision " I want to be reborn 100 years before the nine tails attack in the world of naruto" the being answered ~~VERY WELL. As the name suggest it was his A.I assistant for genetic engineering but he wished for a way more advance version of it, a version he couldn't invent himself.
His second wish was a no brainier he wished for a compendium of shinobi arts, so basically knowledge of all the shinobi branches. His third wish was a scientific lab that had all the essentials and unlimited resources to carry out his research and for his final wish he desired a loyal family.
Looks like that topic was really a sore spot for him to the point he wants to create his own bloodline and clan brethren loyal to him. After naming all his wishes he waited for a bit to hear the beings reply and he didn't have to wait long to hear the ethereal voice again ~~GRANTED... NOW YOUNG SOUL, BEGONE!!~~

All Jacob heard was a snapping sound and he disappeared from that space, already on his way to begin the next chapter of his story. After Jacob left that void space, the concentric golden flames retracted into a single tongue of golden fire with a red crystal looking eye in the middle of it and all you could hear in that eerie dark space is the ethereal voice saying ~~ SO HE'S THE REINCARNATION OF ONE OF YOUR SOUL FRAGMENTS HUH?....BROTHER!!. PECULIAR INDEED HEHE~~ and with a soft chuckle the golden flame vanish returning that time-space continuum into its never ending darkness.
