Blue roses, I've seen them somewhere before, I hear a song, is it... a lullaby? Who is singing the song? I can't, remember, everything is fuzzy and hard to see. My head hurts, did I hit my head? I can't remember anything, just my name and those blue roses. Amiliana, that's my name but what is my last name?
I hear the sound of hooves hitting the ground I'm laying on, I hear voices, all men, "Wait, what is that by the river?" The first of the four men say as they all make their way towards me, the sound of the horses steps getting closer and closer.
"It's a little girl, what is she doing out here laying by the river?" Says the second of the four men.
"I don't know, but she looks weak and beaten." The first man says as he gets off his horse and walks over to me. "Go back to the mansion, this girl is hurt badly and needs food and water, I will follow you there, I'm taking her back with me."
"Are you sure Kosuke? You know how Lord Ren is, if we bring a strange child back who knows what he will do?" The second man asks.
"Go back and tell him Jinn, I will not tell you again, little brother." The man named Kosuke says annoyed as he picks me up gently and walks back to his horse.
All right, fine, it's your funeral." Jinn says as he gets the other two men and go back to the mansion that Kosuke mentioned.
"I can't believe someone left you there, don't worry, I'll take care of you. Little blossom," Kosuke says softly to me as he gently puts me in his horse. After he gets on, he holds onto me as we ride back to this Lord Ren's mansion.
A few minutes later and we're in Lord Ren's office, "Explain this to me Kosuke, what makes you think that bringing a child, a three-year-old no less, here? What do you plan on doing?"
"I'll take responsibility for her and teach her everything she needs to know." Kosuke says without hesitation.
"Very well then, you better not fail me in taking care of this child, Kosuke, or else."
"I understand, my lord, come little blossom, first a bath then dinner then sleep," Kosuke says looking at me and walking towards the door.
I look up at him and smile slightly and nod once and follow him out the door of the office as he holds my hand to keep me from falling.
We get to my room and the maids give me a bath while Kosuke stays in the room and makes sure everything is just right for me.
"Master Kosuke, I'm afraid it will be a little bit before she is ready to leave the bath." One of the maids says to Kosuke.
"I will bring her some food then, I will be back. In the meantime, make sure she is completely clean, will you?"
"Of course," the maid says bowing to him as he leaves the room.
When he came back, I was in a black dress staring at myself in the mirror.
"What are you doing little blossom? Staring at yourself in the mirror won't do you any good, come here, you need to eat." I walked over to him and he sat me on the bed that was now mine. Kosuke is tall with black shoulder-length hair and light blue eyes, he is muscular too and he's very handsome.
"Can you tell me your name?" He asks me.
"Amiliana," I say with a mouth full of food.
"Amiliana, a beautiful name, and don't eat so much at once little blossom, you will choke, and you don't want that." He says as he chuckles softly. "How about we call you Layla?"
I thought about the name for a moment then smiled happily, "It's pretty."
He laughed, "It is isn't it? Well then, your new name and the name everyone will call you now, is Layla. Layla Setherin."
"I get a new last name too?" I asked curiously as I tilted my head to the side slightly.
"Yes, you need to have a last name in this place, little blossom."
"Okay!"
