The next day, she found herself stuck in front of the mirror. For some reason she had the urge to make herself up.
It wasn't much. She just slightly curled her hair and put on a little face makeup.
It was light and she didn't look to over the top. When she looked in the mirror she was quite surprised. She looked...pretty for once. Her eyes seemed bigger and her lips looked of a more cherry color.
"I hope Su LingTian will like it" she quietly said.
As she made her way down the stairs, she noticed some of the help eyeing her. Their stares made her feel weird. She hurried up her pace and went into the car.
When Li Yan entered, she paused as she looked at her.
"...."
"Good morning." Li Hua awkwardly said. The way she was staring at her made her feel uneasy. Was their something in her hair?
Li Yan stared at her for a few more seconds before getting in the car.
"Good morning."

At school, Li Hua had sat in class ready for the lesson to begin. A girl upfront turned towards her.
"Hua Hua you look so pretty today."
"Yeah, what did you do to your hair!" Some other girls joined in.
These people had never talked to her before and she was taken aback. Instead of being happy she become suspicious. 'What did they want'
She stared at them for a few seconds quietly. Usually it was easy to read people but she was having a hard time. Were they genuine?
"Um actually I just curled my hair a bit...and-"
"Who are we kidding. You were already beautiful before."
Hearing the girls words she was taken a back for the 2nd time that day. No one had ever called her pretty nor did she think it. A small smile crept on her face.
"Thank you!" She smiled back.
The girls looked at her quietly.
"We've never seen you smile before...."
"Really?" She asked but as soon as the words left her mouth she remembered her behavior.
"Ah I see. Well somethings never stay the same."
Suddenly the door opened and they teacher walked in. "Alright class lets begin."
When class was over, she went to find Su LingTian. She was nervous but that was only natural. She finally saw him. His back was to her so she snuck up behind him and covered his eyes with her hands.
"Guess who?"
"Hmm....I don't know. Lu Ting?"
"No." She giggled
"Mother?"
"No." Hearing his response she was starting to get annoyed.
"Ah I know!"
He swiftly turned around and looked at her.
"Li Hu- woah." he stopped mid-sentence.
Li Yan looked a different then usual.
"So..."
"You look good."
Hearing this her eyes lit up "Really?!"
Seeing her reaction reminded him of a puppy. "Of course." He smiled.
They started walking towards the garden. As they were walking, Su LingTian suddenly grabbed her hand. It was definitely awkward.
Looking at his face it was slightly red. Seeing this, she giggled and squeezed his hand back.
At the garden, they spent the whole time talking about their lives and dreams.
"One day, I hope to be free and happy."
"You're not right now?"
She laid her head on his shoulder and sighed.
"Most people may look at me and think I'm the luckiest girl in the world to be apart of the Li family but I'm honestly miserable."
"Ah I see."
"Yes, I plan on disassociating myself with them after I graduate. No one would care anyways as people barely notice me."
A tinge of sadness waved over him. He had such a wonderful life. His family loved and cared for him deeply like he was their treasure. He never felt like an outsider. Maybe that was why he liked her? She was different from him in every single way yet that only drew him in more.
"Well, I'll be there to help out." He said proudly.
She broke out into laughter. "That's funny but I don't need someone to protect me. If anyone is going to change my life it'll be me."
"Ahh come on!" He was a little hurt by her words. Mainly because he knew it was true.
"Well I'll be there to support you from the sidelines." He huffed.
Seeing his attitude she patted his cheek. "Ok, Mr. Su."
"We've talked about me. What about you?"
Hearing the question he sighed. "Honestly I don't know. My family wants me to take over the business but I want to be a doctor."
"Really?!" She was surprised. She never would've thought he was the type.
"Yes. I've always been interested in medicine."
"Well I think you could do anything."
Holding up her pinky finger she announced, "To Us!"
He stared at her for a second. Was she seriously trying to pinky promise with him?! He looked at her awaiting face and gave in.
"To us." He groaned.
Lunch was beginning to end and as they walked out he suddenly thought of something.
"What's with the get up?"
She looked to her side and quietly said. "I thought you'd like it."
She did this for him? He chuckled and gave her a hug.
"Yes it looks good but not as good as before. You honestly don't need any of that stuff to be good in my eyes nor yours."
Her eyes widened. "Did you hear that?! I think someone called my name. Goodbye!" She turned and ran off.
Now she reminded him of a bunny!
