Jasmine Yale hesitated for a moment.
Justin Usama added, "The premiere is in the afternoon, not the evening. Shall I come pick you up then?"
Jasmine Yale nodded, "Thank you."
"No need to thank me, it's just doing a favor." Justin took his briefcase, "Come on, I'll walk you to the neighborhood."
It was a relaxing afternoon chat. Jasmine Yale hadn't had such a conversation with a stranger in a long time. She had a good impression of Justin Usama, and his family wasn't complicated.
She wasn't very good at handling complex relationships. She hoped to find someone simple, someone who wouldn't keep everything to themselves, someone who would share their thoughts and feelings with her, rather than making her guess and speculate.
If he encountered trouble, she could help share his burden. If he was successful, she could celebrate with him.
That would be nice.
Justin Usama escorted Jasmine Yale all the way downstairs.
Only after Jasmine Yale went upstairs did he leave.
