Sylvan Cheney snatched the book from her hand: "Oh, I forgot, your child must be as stupid as you and can't understand it."
After speaking, he angrily put the book back along with the supplements, packing them all up.
"Hey!" Jasmine Yale yelled, "What are you doing? Is it reasonable to take back gifts given to others?"
"Don't you dislike them?"
"Why do you care whether I like them or not? You gave them to me, didn't you? Once you give them to me, you can't take them back." Jasmine was angry too, what kind of reasoning is it to take back what was given.
Sylvan paid no attention to her and kept packing with his head down.
Seeing that he was serious, Jasmine quickly said, "Don't return them. If you do, I won't accept anything you give me in the future!"
"Fine, I won't give you anything in the future. I've never seen someone who talks so much when receiving gifts."
