So even in the dead of night, she was reluctant to sleep, wanting to talk to him more.
"Did you buy a gift for Little Chale? His birthday is coming." Jasmine Yale whispered gently.
"I know."
"So did you buy it or not? If you did, what did you get?"
"He has always liked airplane models, so I got him two this time."
Leaning against him, Jasmine seemed to sigh, "He likes airplane models, but he'd rather build them with you than to just have the pre-made ones."
Hearing Jasmine's words, Sylvan Cheney's long eyelashes fluttered.
In his ear, the sweet voice of the little guy rang out: "Daddy."
Sylvan closed his eyes, under his eyelids lay a deep aquamarine weariness.
"He's very fond of you, even though you sent him to the training ground," Jasmine said, "but he misses you, and he secretly told me, he misses daddy."
"Sylvan, you haven't seen him for a year."
