"It's lost, just let it be," Joan Harry said expressionlessly, avoiding Jesse Rowan as if avoiding the plague.
"Oh," Jesse Rowan said as he played with the hairpin in his hand, "If you don't want it, that's fine. We have plenty at home, I'll take you to pick from the jewelry box later."
This hairpin was quite beautiful, made up of smooth white pearls shaped like a rose.
She didn't want it, so Jesse Rowan just stuffed it into his pocket.
He led her into the villa.
As soon as they entered, he clapped his hands, "Come, come, let me introduce you, this is Miss Harry."
The servants lined up, bowed respectfully and said, "Greetings, Miss Harry."
The villa was brand new, and Joan Harry was the first woman Jesse Rowan had brought here.
"Alright, from now on, whatever Miss Harry needs, you must be at her beck and call, understand?"
"We hear you."
"Okay, disperse," Jesse Rowan waved his hand again.
