Jasmine Yale obediently went to the bathroom, while Sylvan Cheney stepped out onto the balcony for a smoke.
When she came out dressed, she saw him still smoking.
Jasmine's brows furrowed, "You forbid me from smoking, yet you're heavily into it yourself. Aren't you afraid of dying young?"
There were already several cigarette butts in the ashtray.
He smiled, extinguished the cigarette butt, and walked towards her.
"You can't learn from me," he said, ruffling her hair.
"Over the years, all my habits have been learned from you. When you smoke in front of me, of course I have to follow."
She had indeed always followed his instructions, such as eating politely, speaking softly, and not arguing with others...
Although sometimes she didn't do well and would defy him, at least her habits were somewhat influenced by him.
Whether she admitted it or not, this man was an influence on her entire life.
