Chapter 2 - Chapter One: Where Am I? Where is Bob?

Andy woke up lying in a soft mattress that he had longed for so long ever since the day he was alone while following the herd of elephants. In a matter of a few hours, he has lost yet another part of his newly formed family under the assault of the lions. Old Ellie was the first to go, Second came Old Black, Old Brown was the third, while big grey and big yellow died almost at the same time, and finally the herd is only left with Bob and Andy.

Andy was shocked, his world was far away from civilization and he knew that. However, the scene before him really shocked his whole core. He was in the hospital along with one sleeping woman and she seems extremely similar. He was lying on the bed while the woman was sleeping on one of the visitor's couch with a thin blanket. To his surprise, his brain operates extremely efficiently. The woman definitely matches his older sister Diana who was sleeping on the couch.

Taking the things that needles that are sticking out of him, Andy made his way toward her. He was happy, yet so nervous that it was just a dream. A dream that he is alone again so he made his way closer to the woman resembling his older sister Diana. Only when he feels that she is real and not a dream that he can fully settle down. It has been so long on his road of vengeance that he felt that the loneliness that he had accumulated is pressing down on him.

Finally, Andy took one slow step by step before making his way before the woman. It was such a weird feeling, he was right before her and yet he did not dare to touch her in hopes that this dream will last longer. It has been five whole years and he dearly misses his own family. Now, right in front of him was his older sister. He sat down on the cold floor watching her sleeping soundly.

Many hours past, by the time Andy remembers it was already three hours later. During the three hours, he had already confirmed that he is not dreaming nor is this an illusion. He got up and stretched before leaving the room to find some food to digest and some water to replenish. Along the way, he has seen many patients in the hospital along with many nurses. He was in his patient's clothing so he does not seem suspicious to others at all.

Seeing how some of the nurses went to a room that looks like a small kitchen with some kind of food on the counter. Andy also approaches the room quietly while he also saw how the last nurse came up with some kind of sandwiches with a plastic paper. However, he knew that he did carry any kind of currency which could be used so instead of getting some food. Andy went to find a water fountain nearby and drink a couple of mouthful enough to ease his empty stomach before leaving to walk around the hospital.

The bright light bulb above Andy was too bright for the wild him. The wild did not have such bright light expect the hot sun above. On such hot days, he would could only take on the heat by being under the shadow of the elephants. However, even with such bright light, Andy could not feel the heat of the light. He has long associate that bright light will generate heat as such Andy was a bit disoriented about the differences.

Going through a few corridors, Andy finally reaches a door made of stainless steel along with some see through tempered glass. Going closer to the door automatically opens and a refreshing vacuum of breezes entered into the building and he could feel the fluttering patient clothing on him. Walking through the two automatic doors, Andy could finally feel the hot smooth concrete beneath his plain feet. Outside was just an open area with a few benches as well as a couple of other family that came to visit their family's patient.

Feeling how uncomfortable the hot plate of concrete below is feet, Andy decided to step on the floor made of green grass. The moment his feet touches the lush green grass, a cool and refreshing coldness transfer through his feet to his body. The difference was a stark contrast between true and false. However, even with the coolness below his feet, the hot sun still hover over the sky so Andy made his way under the shade of the only tree in the center of the open area.

Laying on the grass, Andy stared at cloud up in the sky. However, at every corner of the clouds, Andy could not help but think of his elephant family. It is especially so for the elephants who died during the final battle and those over the years. Likewise, Andy begins to miss the last survivor of the elephant herd, Bob. With such a peaceful day and the refreshing blowing wind, he could not help feeling sleepy. Closing his eyes, listening to the blowing breezes, the smoothing sound of the grass rustling, the calming smell of nature, and he has already fallen asleep.
