"The Cosmic God Mansion..."
The moment they uttered those words the mansion also reacted.
*Vwoom*
*Boom*
The light it had was extending towards the entirety of the dark space! It was creating one planet after the other. From planets to stars and eventually galaxies!
In the middle, the Cosmic God Mansion still solely attracted their attraction as though it was the superior entity from all those celestial bodies that materialized from its aura just now.
"What's happening?"
"This is like the formation of the universe..."
The two did not know what to do nor did they know what was happening right now. But they were encountering something truly mystical right now.
"Is this something that's normal to see when you're dead?" The younger Dylan asked in a somewhat dazed state.
"If we were both dead, then I won't be able to answer that question since this is also my first time dying." Dylan Ford answered rhetorically.
"Oh, you're right."
"That was quite dumb of me."
"No worries, we're both completely lost on what to do right now. But, I am at least more certain that we are not dead yet. At the very least, we are in a spirit-like state right now and we are currently in this unique space." Dylan Ford said with understanding and expressed his thoughts.
"Ohhh, that makes sense. You seem pretty intelligent, sir Dylan.." The younger Dylan then nodded in agreement.
"Really? I think it's something you can deduce after giving the situation much thought. Nothing special." Dylan Ford chuckled as he deflected the compliment.
Suddenly, there were hundreds if not thousands of portals, appearing left and right, front and back.
Flying ships, large flying beasts, space crafts and unknown dark entities were seen passing through the portal one after the other. Then numerous cultivators that numbered hundreds of thousands appeared accompanying these vessels.
There seems to be four distinct armies:
The first army had an shining flying vessels with wings and they were also manned by individuals with wings and halos. Its main vessel seemed like an Island which had a white pristine temple on it.
It was as though they were a holy army of mythological angels representing God!
The second army were mainly beasts. Dragons, phoenix, rocs, behemoths, krakens, etc. All kinds of mythological beasts were gathered by this army with sizes dwarfing even planets or stars!
The tamers of these behemoths were either Demi-humans or humanoid beasts.
The third army was like a space armada. It had multiple motherships and spacecrafts with heavy futuristic artillery with them. The pilots and the soldiers that belong to this army all had varying metallic armor that could be crafted by heavenly steel, cold iron and orichalcum.
There was one big mothership that had one large cannon making up the entirety of the ship. If this was an active cannon, it could even dwarf planets and may even completely erase what ever target it may have.
The last army were all standing atop some unidentifiable dark entities. They seemed to mutate each time you look at them. Sometimes, these entities may look like a dark beast, a black flying ship, large specter or even nothing but just a giant mass of nothingness.
The members of this army all wore dark and grey coats with glowing white runes across them. They seemed like a cult more than anything,
There were four distinct armies surrounded the Cosmic God Mansion looking like they will attack in any moment now.
"W-what's happening right now??" The younger Dylan could not help but feel scared and unsecure with this sudden event that was happening.
"Calm down. I think this is something that happened in the past..." Dylan Ford suddenly said.
"What makes you say that?" The younger Dylan immediately asked.
"That's because the Cosmic God Mansion looks different than it did earlier." Dylan Ford pointed at the gigantic mansion that was on the center of all these armies.
"Huh? You're right. Its way bigger and the gates look cleaner!" The younger Dylan them looked over and he saw that the Cosmic God Mansion did look a little bit different.
The overgrowth of vines and mystical herbs had disappeared from the gates. Its aura seemed more brighter!
It was not just that. Rather than just a mansion, it was even bigger and grander than its current look. It was actually a hundred times bigger than it used to. It now seemed like a continent.
There were some parts of the mansion that was not there when they first saw it. It had pagodas and different high-rise buildings. There also seemed to be multiple training grounds and fields within it.
Another thing that was new was that there were nine smaller manors that were connected to the Cosmic God Mansion as well. But of course, this was relative to the Cosmic God Mansion. They seemed to be the current size of the Cosmic God Mansion that Dylan Ford and the younger Dylan saw.
It was suspended in space in what seemed to be like a floating piece of land that had the size of an entire planet. It was as if someone excavated a piece of land from a planet then placed it here in space.
Cultivators also came out flying one by one from these ten manors.
They all had come out with weapons and their avatars unleashed already. Every single one of these cultivators exuded the magnificence of a deity!
'To think I could see so many figures of this caliber...'
Among them, there was a man that walked out of the giant front door of the Cosmic God Mansion.
For some reason, the two Dylan's seem to be unable to truly see what this man looked like. He carried himself with extreme confidence and charisma. As soon as he walked out of the door, all four armies suddenly became alert and looked at him very intently.
'It seems like he's being ganged up on by these four forces.' Dylan Ford thought to himself.
Despite what seemed like four legion of cosmic beings and beast with the power to shatter planets and extinguish stars, the man simply laughed. It wasn't a nervous chuckle, but a loud expression of genuine amusement, as if he were welcoming old friends to a backyard barbecue rather than staring down his own annihilation.
His sheer confidence spoke without him uttering a word as though he was saying, 'Is this all you got?'
Actually, judging by the sudden, tense shift in the four armies, he wasn't just welcoming them; he was openly provoking them.
This man had so much confidence that he didn't even bother to draw a weapon. He stood there in simple, battle-worn attire, his posture loose and completely unguarded.
As armada flags rippled and reality itself cracked under the weight of a million divine entities, he casually reached into his cloak, pulled out a wine glass, and took a slow, deliberate sip.
To him, these gods and god beasts weren't an existential threat; they were an audience.
A fierce exchange of words seemed to be happening but Dylan Ford and the younger Dylan can't seem to make up what was happening.
There was an unknown force that was preventing them from completely seeing his face and actually hearing the conversation that was taking place. But they can also feel a sense of kinship with this person.
They had this uncanny feeling that this man was the owner of the Cosmic God Mansion.
Beside him, there were three females whose face they cannot also seem to view. Another feeling of familiarity was something they could detect from them too.
"Why can't we see nor hear these people?" The Younger Dylan asked.
"Maybe, the Cosmic God Mansion feels like we are not ready to see who these people are?" Dylan Ford replied.
"Why? Are you saying that the mansion is sentient?"
"Well, it did magically appear in this space and showed itself to us. Additionally, it is highly likely that it is also the one responsible for showing us this vision. More than likely this seems to be a memory of the mansion." Dylan Ford further deduced.
"But why would it show all of this to us?" The younger Dylan pointed out a very crucial question.
"..." That question stumped Dylan Ford who was also thinking of the reason why.
Then, there was this young man that also walked outside of the door and stopped beside the owner of the mansion.
"!!" Both of their eyes gravitated towards that new figure that just showed himself.
He was incredibly handsome and actually bore a striking resemblance with Dylan Ford but he had heterochromia with eye colors exactly that of the younger Dylan.
However, something was different with this person, he had long white hair with him compared to their black hair.
"Who is that..."
The war begun as the cultivators charged forward and the four armies unleashed their attacks.
Incredible amounts of divine energy was being unleashed in all directions. Duels and skirmishes happening all round the battlefield.
The clashes were escalating to the magnitude by which planets and moons are being destroyed from just collateral energy blasts.
Battle beasts using their catastrophic breaths!
Light beams coming out of the flying vessels!
Laser beams and artillery shells being launched by the spacecrafts!
The dark entities corroding the very reality itself!
Formation arrays rising not just from the Cosmic God Mansion but also from the Four Army's main camp.
The battle could be described as nothing short of a cosmic calamity!
"So this is a war between Gods..." The younger Dylan commented unwittingly.
"This is something straight out of Guuren Lagaan..." Dylan Ford also said absentmindedly.
The two Dylan's could only watch as this war escalated while they could not do anything but watch in awe.
They witnessed a war in a scale they surpassed all of their imaginations that seemed to span hundreds of days, weeks or even years!
Then, the entire reality distorted!
Countless bodies floated across this space. Slain cultivators, dead beasts, destroyed flying vessels, decimated spacecrafts, scattered traces of the unidentifiable dark entities, destroyed planets and shattered stars.
Millions if not billions of lives lost. This was the scale of a cosmic war!
The Cosmic God mansion was destroyed and all of the ten manors were destroyed. All of its main forces had all been slain and slaughtered.
The four armies did not have it easy either. They had also been nearly wiped out. Each had less than a quarter of their forces left.
Bloodied and injured, the owner of the Cosmic God Mansion was faced with four ambiguous figures. Their visages were also unclear like the man they surrounded. But they all exuded the presence of an unmatched supreme being.
Despite all of the odds stacked against him, he smiled and spoked some words to the four supreme beings in front of him.
Then, he looked at the direction where Dylan Ford and the younger Dylan are.
"Is he looking at us?" The younger Dylan asked because he thought this was just some replay of a memory.
"I think he is..." Dylan Ford affirmed while he could not see the man's face. He could feel his stare that was piercing through his very being.
To which, the Cosmic God uttered words that they could finally hear what he was saying for the first time while watching but they can't fully make out everything.
"Dylan... I want... revenge... for me... Don't forget... Please..."
With a smile that did not fear his impending death, he slashed with his right hand using all the strength he has left!
He faced the inevitable with the same rebellious spirit that drove him to get this far!
"!!!"
The four supreme beings were all caught by surprise that he would still even try to resist in this situation.
His very attack seemed to burn his entire being! An attack that made the entire cosmos shake and distort in its wake.
This was the final attack of the Cosmic God. The sheer might of his attack was near-apocalyptic as though the entire universe seemed to have been split in half in that moment!
*BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!*
